Lecture I - Lecture as a Tool for Learning

In this session, we will explore techniques that enhance student learning during lecture, particularly those that engage students in active learning. After we discuss some empirical research on active lecturing, we will practice a variety of strategies, including: in-class writing; think-pair-share; and student response systems (clickers).
