PopeTech
PopeTech is software that allows you to scan your Canvas course site for accessibility issues and helps remediate them easily. You can use the PopeTech checker to identify and fix issues in a particular content item, or you can go to the PopeTech dashboard to get an overview of all issues detected in your course site or across your courses.
SensusAccess In Canvas
SensusAccess is a software tool for converting content into more accessible formats. Thanks to the SensusAccess integration with Canvas, you can click the SensusAccess icon next to a content item (page, file, etc.) and be presented with a range of options for text and audio formats. You can then choose to have the converted item emailed to you or downloaded.
Grackle
Grackle Workspace is an add-on to the UChicago Google Workspace that can be used to create more accessible Docs, Slides, and Sheets. It can run automated accessibility checks of your documents and break down issues it identifies into manageable tasks, as well as flagging issues that should be tested manually.
Siteimprove
Siteimprove provides a suite of web-based tools that regularly scans websites. It detects and reports on issues that affect accessibility. With SiteImprove’s web accessibility tools, you can easily find and fix accessibility issues.
Equidox
Equidox is a cloud-based PDF remediation software solution that helps users convert inaccessible PDFs into accessible PDF, HTML, and EPUB 2 formats. Your content team can use Equidox via the browser, from any major platform, without needing a license for Acrobat Pro. Equidox allows you to remediate PDFs more quickly and simply than Acrobat Pro, even if you do not have access to the source document.
