Digital Pedagogy Fellows
ATS Digital Pedagogy Fellows play a key role in supporting faculty, TAs, and other instructional staff with the use of digital tools to support teaching and learning at the University of Chicago. As graduate students, they bring expertise from various disciplines to assist in incorporating educational tools in different teaching contexts. They also receive training and mentorship throughout their first year.
ATS Fellows work closely with instructors in the following ways:
- Provide one-on-one guidance and consultation on the pedagogically sound use of technology for teaching and learning during ATS Office Hours.
- Contribute to the development of online resources to support faculty in effectively utilizing the university’s LMS (Canvas) and other supported teaching tools.
- Additionally, they lead workshops for faculty, instructors, students, and staff to enhance their digital pedagogical skills.
ATS Fellows are also actively involved in exploring new educational technologies. They conduct research and testing to stay up to date with the latest advancements in the field. This ensures that they can provide faculty with informed recommendations and support in adopting innovative solutions.
