Poll Everywhere, UChicago’s supported polling software tool, has launched new features and updates to streamline the polling process and make it more user-friendly.
The first feature is Auto Roster Sync, which enables faculty and instructors to synchronize course rosters between Poll Everywhere and Canvas automatically every night in case students add or drop. Before rosters needed to be synced manually so this new feature saves valuable time and lets you concentrate on teaching instead of administrative duties.
Poll Everywhere has also made updates to the plugin for PowerPoint (Windows, Version 4.1.0). In this release, Poll Everywhere has important security enhancements, faster slide activation, and smoother slide transitions. It also includes improvements for login behavior on shared computers. It also has a new feature which gives you the ability to screen-share specific PowerPoint windows in Zoom. You can now choose whether you want to display the instructions slide, results slide, or correct answer slide.
